Twelve people with "nothing to lose" answer an ad to take part in a 'study' conducted by one Dr. Flaherty, and his... oddly nervous... assistant, Dr. Jones. It's just a study, right? Nothing to worry about, surely.

  • Really loves dark and gothic literature, particularly stuff about animals... hm.
  • Also really like rock, but like, 'classic' rock (AKA the stuff your dad listens to)
  • Insists that what he's doing will actually benefit humanity... somehow. But 'nobody's ready for it yet, and they won't be 'til I've got it done'

  • Collects fidget toys and little gadgets. Constantly has one in his pocket because he fidgets when he's anxious (which is Always)

  • Was 5'8, now actually 9'6 if you measure him from the tip of his tail to the top of his head - moves with his tail folded though, so you can't really tell that much
  • 214lbs, but 105lbs of it is the tail

  • Hybridised with a corn snake, has a tail instead of legs, a forked tongue, sharp teeth, slit pupils and cold blood
  • Never grew out of being a scene kid and it is VERY visible
  • Exclusively listens to punk bands. He cannot and will not listen to anything else
  • Not exactly nasty, but he's fully aware everyone is at least a little afraid of him, and often uses that to his advantage - though usually teasingly
  • Hates wearing anything with sleeves, which is unfortunate given the whole cold-blooded thing
  • Had a slight lisp beforehand - the irony was not lost on Dr. F, who made it a lot worse. He was So Mad

  • Not to be a scalie but he. Kind of likes the tail. Mostly because it actually helps with the clumsiness a bit
  • Quite Scared by the fact that people think he has his shit together because he's one of the oldest people there (he doesn't)

  • Is super super close with Myles and is terrified of literally everyone else in the facility
  • Would like to just curl up and read and be quiet not have to engage with other people (other than Myles) please

  • Misses being able to comfortably read in bed bc he usually sleeps in the water now and he doesn't want to get the books wet!!!
  • Actually maintains a pretty sunny disposition despite his current situation, unlike most of the other subjects
  • Can talk you to death and you'd probably let him because he's just that charismatic

  • Is a little wobbly on the new legs but still runs everywhere regardless

  • Wings get stiff and ache if they're closed for too long but because they're so massive she has to go in the garden area to stretch them out and just. Sit there for a few hours
  • Chaotic but in like. A charismatic way. Y'know. That's just how lesbians are
  • She sees you staring. Go on. Touch her bicep. She knows you want to. It's okay, do it.
