Mythical creatures fascinate me...
- Alan (Philippines)-
- Half Human Half bird; live within the forests and spend much of their time hanging upside down from trees. They are mischievous in nature but are friendly to humans and some legends refer to them bringing up children that have lost their parents.
- Aloja/Aloges/Dones d'aigua/Goges (Catalan mythology)-
- feminine beings that live in places with fresh water.They appear as small and innocent women, with a high self-esteem and very proud of their beauty; they are good women and try to bring wealth and well-being to the areas they live in.
- Asrai (English folklore)-
- is a type of aquatic fairy; timid and shy, standing only between 2 and 4 feet tall
- Brownies-
- invisible brown elves or household goblins; while the members of the household are asleep they go about doing labours for the house owners.
- Dryads (Greek Mythology)-
- female spirits of nature that preside over the forests.
- Firebird/Zshar-ptitsa (Russian Folklore)
- its feathers shine silver and gold, its eyes sparkle like crystals; able to heal the sick and cure the blind by its chants.
- Gnomes-
- very small humanoid race; classically seen as protectors of the natural world, often they are portrayed as little men with beards who tend to the garden.
- Griffin/Griffon-
- is a legendary creature, that's head, beak and wings come from that of a great eagle, the body is that of a lion or a tiger and on occasion it has a tail of a scorpion the front feet often in talons.
- Icthyocentaur-
- has the torso, arms and head of a human, the tail of a dolphin and the forelegs of a horse or lion. This is the aquatic version of a centaur.
- Lammasu-
- has the body of a lion the wings of a giant eagle and the face of a human; noble creatures that look after those that are good. They prey on those creatures that are evil.

- Nymphs-
- inhabit the most secluded and peaceful areas of the world, close to a pure water source e.g. a spring; are a peaceful race they hate evil and ugliness.
- Phoenix-
- is a mythical bird that symbolises immortality, resurrection and life after death, because of this it's often seen on sarcophagi and tombs.
