- Olympics NP: I haven't done much mountain hiking in this park, since most of the heart of the park is extremely remote (and it was a longish drive from Seattle). The best viewpoint would be Hurricane Ridge, accessed from the town of Port Angeles. My favorite coastal hike was Shi Shi Beach, but there is a lot of mud along the way. My second favorite was Rialto Beach, which is more accessible. Second Beach and Third Beach are other short alternatives, while the Cape Alava - Sand Point loop is another classic.
