• she always cooked me bean soup because she knew i liked it a lot
• she always kept her house clean, esp. when we visited
• the week i visited one summer by myself-- she took me shopping, cooked for me, listened. good female time
• she always took me to the library as a kid
• she would swim with us growing up
• she taught us manners
• she would read to me
• she made the best meals

• she was a giver-- she always gave us money
• she would pick us up from junior high and have our favorite soft drinks waiting for us. and when it was cold outside, she'd bring hot cocoa for the car ride
• chocolate gravy. nuff said
• she cooked breakfast for my birthday sleepovers as a kid
• she always would hug me for a long time
• she never told my parents about the time i snuck out in high school [hopefully they don't read this, haha]!
• she would always give me clothes-- best second hand store i know
• she was big on wives tales, & when i had a wart as a kid, would rub it with a bean and planted it in the backyard to make it go away. [it worked].
