- sharing a burger with Jody in his car at Sonic--first time I'd ever eaten at Sonic.
- rain with Mr. Smooth Talker, ex-James--really, we were parked in a car wash to escape the torrential downpour, listening to Clint Black's "Like the Rain," and just talking.
- Christmas date with Joe--we could always talk about anything and everything. Add to that him sneaking me into a million-dollar gated community to admire the Christmas lights (one of my favorite things about the season), and it was almost date-perfection (and a good reason we stayed friends even after we stopped dating).
- my first date with Danny--I dreaded it so much but went anyway, and then it was fantastic; an adult dinner party with friends, then a quick change of clothes, a drive to his house, and a 4-wheeler ride up to the tallest hill on his farm to admire the full moon and talk. It sounds so redneck-ish, but it was sweet and just so him (or what I thought was him, heh).
- skinny dipping with Danny--one of the most perfect nights ever in my life and the reason why REM's "Night Swimming" is one of my all-time favorite songs.
- my first "real" date with Chris--he showed me places in Bowling Green I never knew existed, and I fell in love with the city through him.
- going to Jason's house--we watched a movie, and I thought he only thought of me as a friend. It was so nice to find out that he'd always liked me too.
- dumping Mike--how sad that my favorite ex-boyfriend memory for him is when I dumped him on his rear? I've never felt so liberated in my life.
- seeing Danny at a FarmHouse party a year after we broke up--he had the nerve to tell me I didn't belong there and that I should leave. It was the ultimate ex-revenge; I was a little sister for the fraternity, and he was just the guest of a friend, so all of the brothers came and threw him out for insulting me. Even better, the next night, I went to a different frat's party cause I was dating someone there, and Danny was there and was like, "You know people HERE TOO? Isn't there any place I can hang out?" and left. HAHAHAHAHAHA.
- the first night I hung out with Rosey--we only hung out as friends until everyone else left, and then we drove over to Ford Island and looked at the Arizona Memorial and all of Pearl Harbor, talking until about 6 am (and going to work at 7:30)
