In answering these questions, I am going to refer to India as my country.
- Ignorance. If a cab driver sticks up a sign to use the other side of the door, people will purposely open the loose/malfunctioning door and then get annoyed at the cabbie.
- Eve-teasing. I think it's a social problem and we aren't doing enough to punish those who make it miserable for women to walk on the street. And if you lose nerve when you're harassed on the street and react excessively, you only make matters worse for yourself by firing the enthusiasm of the jerk.
- Tardiness. People are always late and nobody will respect your time unless you obtain enough power to punish those who are late. In general, dinner at 8 means dinner at 10:30 if you're lucky. Else we blame it on the traffic at Haji Ali.
- Dust, pollution, dirt, humidity, garbage, oh sweet mother of lord! A giant vaccum could suck all the dirt out of India and have the place filled with twice the amount of garbage in the blink of an eye. Lack of discipline.
- Crowds mass-public transit.
- Lack of respect for personal space. Nobody really cares about standing a foot away from the cashier or the person in front of you in the queue.
- As a matter of fact, people are always breaking lines and crashing queues.
- Corruption to the point that people think it's their birthright.
