this list (novel?) will be my journey of learning the dance "specialist" from persona 4 dancing

  • prologue: a few years ago, i was for some reason addicted to just dance. it was probably just my cousins and i always doing the dances and wanting to get five stars. i had a copy of just dance 2016 at home, and i played a ton of it. my main goal, was to get five stars on the hardest dance "animals (the extreme version)" by martin garrix" . for some reason, the stupid night when the only thing my body could do was perspire is something i cannot forget. now, i personally believe i need to do something else with my life. "get a job" you say? look, i'm trying to ghost a good friend of mine, their name is stress and i know they love to hang out at job interviews. i've been trying to ghost them, it's not possible. so, what is the natural thing a person wants to do when they're bored and when they're trying to ghost a "friend"? dance! so i thought i should do something from a favorite game series of mine that has amazing characters, interesting plots, and not one, but three dancing game spinoffs (kinda weird but okay atlus). specialist was the perfect choice not only because i knew it was going to be a challenge for a person who could only really put just dance 2016 on their resume when they need to be a background dancer for a show and because this is probably the first persona thing the average person would be introduced to. now that research paper is out the way, it's time to start.
  • 07/05/2021: hey so like fun fact, it's practically 2 in the morning when I'm writing this part. the dance isn't too bad. of course, I'm no master, i'm not learning this dance in a few minutes, but this is a dance i can do if i take the time and effort. i think the best place to start is the, well, the start. doesn't look too bad, but i know this is nowhere near easy... hey, so mr. yu narukami (the persona 4 protagonist who happens to be doing the dance) just did this cool thing. it looks simple when you normally watch it but those the steps and the movement. this is gonna be difficult. i'm scared, hold me
  • 07/11/2021: i didn't give up on this dance yet. i possess the power to move on and continue, even if it's just a cringe-fest. what made me get back on my feet was what probably my biggest inspiration for pursuing my true self at dance (see what i did there, okayfineitstritemovingon.) crystaahhl (that's the right number of a's and h's, right?) is your normal gamer who just happens to love persona and also happens to have experience in dancing. she just posted her video on the same dance i was practicing, y'know, specialist, right here on the cool application thingy known as youtube and sure, she can do all the complex stuff, but i can at least make a mediocre attempt, right? i got to work, and while it was difficult, i think i got down another part of the dance. can i actually do it, can i actually dance to the best classroom theme ever created (life goes on is a nice second)? it's just me, my laptop, and the bottles of water i constantly drink after these sessions because staying hydrated is important kids. i feel like i need to clarify that wasn't a joke because hydration is important after all but at the same time i used kids which kinda has that "hey i'm joking" energy to it and the emphasis from the bold could be misinterpreted as a joke. aha! i'm pro-hydration, there ya go (waititypedthatdangitsorry.)
  • 08/03/2021: that's right, i'm back with another entry. i only had 46 seconds left and to be honest, this was the easiest part. yu narukami did some cool things, but they were easy to follow, i honestly don't have much to say. i have the entire dance down, all i can do now is memorize, improve, and maybe cosplay (that last one is extremely improbable.) i am almost home.
  • currently (practically memorized the entire dance and can only perfect the moves more)
