- write at least 4 pages a day
- work up to at least 10 pages a day
- get a writing desk that's only for writing, in a room where I can shut the door
- start writing a short story a week and sending it out the next week
- find work where I can control the timing and the frequency so I have time to write for myself
- start writing a poem a week and sending them out the next week
- get back to work on my screenplay
- get back to work on my movie script
- set aside a goodly chunk of time to write and make it immutable: do not leave the desk until it is done
- get to where I can write a whole novel in three months so I can start a new one in the next quarter and edit and send off the done one
- go back to devoting more time to academic work
- make a whole day only about tracing leads and applying for jobs
