Q: Why do you think Blackwashing art is equally problematic as whitewashing?

A: don't get me wrong i'm all for representation! i do feel like POC people need more representation and as a southeast asian with tan skin we don't really get that a lot, I just feel like blackwashing a character is disrespectful to the creator and the character, the creator decided to make the character with a certain race for a reason. Honestly I'd rather see more POC Oc's than edits! to hype up ocs more than edits (this does not go for any POC doing any kind of cosplay, I completely support anyone that does it and encourage more people of colour to feel comfortable with cosplaying!)
