- science fiction / Im always looking to have my imagination expanded and see concepts of the far flung future brought to life on the screen. When done right they're easily my favorite films.
- adventure / Traveling and embarking on a journey or an adventure is escapism at its core right? And thats what movies are. A genre I don't seem to find enough movies in, probably because action and superhero movies are the box office giants
- suspense / This would be my number one genre if there were more movies that executed the core concept of it well. Too many movies telegraph what comes next and kill all tension in the room. But the ones that don't I appreciate all the more for it.
- action / Probably the fact that action is almost always so predictable is why this is so low on the list. When its well done, new and inventive I'm there but so many times its just the same set pieces over and over again.
