- I remember some flashes of being in the Upside Down but it’s really vague- one thing I remember clearly was that I had to touch things to interact with them, so to talk with my mom I was standing on the couch touching the lights
- I also kinda remember when I talked to her through the wall, and how relieved I was to see her again..
- After I got back, I stuck with Mike a lot, because he was the most cool about me being weird- Dustin and Lucas were cool too but Mike was kinda the most patient and Lucas was .. idk a little too protective? which I didn’t mind from my friends but Mom and Jonathan were both way overprotective so even the little bit of protectiveness kinda bugged me
- I don’t remember anything about the Mind Flayer, but after, I remember Mom kind of adopted Eleven into the family. El and I spent a ton of time together, and I trusted her the most when it came to talking about Upside Down stuff, since I knew she wasn’t gonna baby me or anything
- Hop checked on Mom a lot after Bob died- I really liked Bob, honestly, and I kinda wish I’d been closer with him, but after everything I wasn’t really ready to let down my guard around people who weren’t family/the party
- Mom helped El keep her head shaved too, since El spent a ton of time at our house with Hop, and Hop felt kind of weird about it (I guess since the bad men had kept El’s head shaved originally), but El felt more comfortable with it shaved? I at least never saw her with long hair
- I also really liked sharing music with El, so we spent a lot of time listening to the mixtapes Jonathan made me. Jonathan also took home movies of her too? I think El was kinda surprised to see herself in with me and Jonathan’s birthdays and family Christmas tapes and stuff, but she really was like my sister and we all cared a ton about her
- Steve also took care of me a lot? He did kind of become the official babysitter for all of us when our parents/siblings were busy, and he was really nice without treating me like I was gonna break, I liked getting to hang out with him when Jonathan had to work
- Max became an official part of the party too, I’m pretty sure! I kinda remember her yelling at someone who shoved me around/called me zombie boy?? I dunno exactly what happened to make her chew them out but just like Lucas she really stuck up for me
- I have kinda a vague memory about seeing a scary movie with Jonathan, and I know Mom was worried because of everything I’d been through, but Jonathan just sort of said “you’ve been through stuff that’s scarier than any movie” and took me to see one as a treat after school one day- I also kinda remember, when the song Dead Man’s Party came out Jonathan showed it to me and it became kind of a joke song for us, since I was “dead” for a while. I really appreciated when things had kinda calmed down and Jonathan stopped worrying about me so much
- I remember El and I had a sort of connection? She could use it(?) more than I could because of her powers but we could communicate through like images and stuff- I think she was homeschooled for a while, and when she got bored she’d send me silly thoughts through our link and I’d have to try not to laugh in the middle of class.
