summary: the king's champion is tasked to dispose of his enemies but can't bring herself to do it. instead, she fake's their deaths and puts those she loves at risk. she must then decide what she will fight for: her liberty, her heart or the fate of a kingdom.

thoughts: again, i do not remember this book but i enjoyed reading it fr. compared to the other books in the series, i don't think it's that good but it's really the catalyst for the change in her character and the start of the REAL plot of the series.

• do i recommend this book?: only if u enjoyed the first one cause if u didn't then this won't catch ur eye (is that the saying ??)
