- Playing with toy boats in my backyard with La (Laura) my babysitter
- Snuggling with La and wearing her big hats
- Playing hide and seek with Nina and Boris (the older couple who babysat me after La left)
- My feet in the hot sand in South Africa when I was three (my earliest memory)
- Spending hours at the doll's house section of the children's museum
- My mom painting a curtain with stories about my older sister who was traveling
- Stealing little rocks from my kindergarten room. I put them into my underwear and took them out when I got home. I had a huge collection by the end of the year.
- Stealing a lip gloss, tiny bear, and toy gnome and feeling awful once I realized what I had done. For a few month's I wouldn't let myself have fun as punishment.
- Making sure enough of my body was covered by the blankets so the monster's wouldn't get me while I slept
- Wrestling with my dad before bedtime
- Riding on my dad's back and pretending he was a horse. Or sometimes a camel.
- Hanging off my dad's shoulder's upside down and pretending I was walking on the ceiling
- Being told about a great book (Happy Potter) by a woman my mom and I met at the beach
- Reading Harry Potter as a family. 1 chapter a night.
- Crystal Lake. Riding my tricycle, then my bike, to lunch at the Italian restaurant after swimming.
- Finding my doll Stephanie at the second hand store with mom
- Having a yard sale at my house and selling lemonade and jewelry while my mom sold our stuff
- Finding my doll Machie at a yard sale. We were going to a craft store, and when we saw the yard sale I had a choice between the two. I remember being so thrilled when we got there and almost the entire yard sale was dolls. A man told us that his mother had collected dolls, and spent half a million dollars on them, but was old now and needed money. I got Machie but not her "brother" and regretted it for years.
- Being stuck in body casts and making scuply beads and animals with dad
- Jumping on the bed while I was still totally encased in chest to toe body casts
- Losing Doll Doll at the health club where I took swimming lessons. Mom searched the locker rooms. She finally found her in the trash bins after asking to go into the back rooms. I had that doll since I was a baby and was so attached to it. It was made out of cloth and since I played with it so much it began to wear. Eventually its head was hanging by a string.
- Playing Boomba with Alex
- Wearing wigs and thinking people believed it was my real hair when they complimented me.
- Getting a real baby stroller with mom and having her push my dolls around in it when we went out. I truly believed people thought I had a little sister.
- Marking my height on the wood of my parent's bedroom door frame
