- May 23: Cats
- with: Dad, Natalya
- 1st time seeing it (Natalya too). I very much enjoyed the Rum Tum Tugger.
- May 23: LOST finale
- I actually got choked up just seeing Charlie when Hurley went to pick him up at the hotel (what can i say? it was an emotional night, i was ready to crack from the start!), teared up when Sun and Jin remembered their lives, started all out crying when Charlie remembered Claire, and pretty much cried intermittently from then on— until the final scenes with Jack, when I LOST IT and broke down sobbing. It was one of the sweetest, saddest, most beautiful times I've ever had watching television. Bloody hell, I love this show.
- May 28: Phantom of the Opera
- with: Natalya, Molly
- 2nd time seeing it (ever, and with this cast)
- bonus: Sean MacLaughlin
- June 1: True Blood Ultimate Fan Experience
- with: Natalya, Shannon, Lori, Shannon (yes, there were 2), Shavanna
- Screening of season 2 finale, season 3 sneak peaks/interviews and extended preview, cast Q&A, FREE SWAG (bottle of True Blood, books 2 & 3, season 2 soundtrack, season 3 promo postcards (I'm actually very pleased with those, I should have grabbed more!), season 3 mini-poster, True Blood bag)
- I can't believe that whole night was free! HBO rules!
- June 2: Doctor Who: The End of Time (David Tennant's last episode)
- I put this off for quite a while, I just dreaded the thought of him leaving. Eventually, I stumbled across the new season, got hooked again, and decided to back track and watch the episodes I had missed.
- NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I CRIED SO MUCH FROM WATCHING ANY MOVIE OR TV SHOW. And I thought the Lost finale was a tearfest! It was NOTHING compared to this! I sobbed. I wept. I was a blubbering mess.
- Turns out, it was a good thing I had already seen a few episodes from season 5 and grown to adore the 11th Doctor. I thought I would be depressed for the rest of the day, but then the regeneration happened, Matt Smith's face appeared, and suddenly it was like, "Oh, it's you! I really like you!" And when he made the joke about his hair, I laughed and felt better.
- Aw, Ten. I will always love you. :)
- June 3: AFI
- with: Shannon
- Drove 2.5 hours to the venue, listening to Phantom of the Opera and The Little Mermaid musical and chatting up a storm.
- Made friends with other people in line, some of whom I remembered from a show back in November. :)
- Small venue, great opener (Scarlet Grey, nice guys), fantastic show.
- Met Adam! :) Funny story where he sort of told off a security guy who was giving the fans a hard time after the show.
- Got heckled by strippers from across the parking lot. ("Honey, you gotta dress like this if you want to get on that bus!" One of them flashed us, too.)
- Met Davey! :)
- Had a Backstreet Boys singalong on the way home. (All the classics— Hey Mr. DJ, Get Down, If You Want It To Be Good Girl, etc. hahaha)
- June 6: Out with Shannon
- Prince of Persia. Loved it!
- I tried sushi for the first time. I think I will try it again. :)
- June 9: Jeffree Star
- with: Shannon, Lori, Matt
- Stayed in a really nice hotel room. Sung along to musicals on the long drive there and back.
- First group (local, not part of the tour) started dissing Jeffree and had their mics cut out on them. HA! Second group was pretty good. Jeffree was great!
- When it came down to it, we were too tired, hungry, and in too much pain to wait around in the huge crowd to meet Jeffree. Next time, perhaps. ;)
- June 10: Out with Gabie
- The Losers. Popcorn movie, very fun. (Plus, lots of man candy to ogle. JDM!)
- Went back to her house, made a (faux)chicken salad. Watched Star Trek. Sigh, Zachary Quinto.
- June 12: Kathy Griffin
- with: Natalya, Kristy
- I LOVE KATHY!
- June 13: MY BIRTHDAY!
- with: Natalya, Melissa, Peter, Molly, Ryan, Gabie
- We walked to the park, I had so much fun on the swings! I hadn't been on one in years! (Until I decided to jump off and the chain caught my shirt and tore a huge hole in it, but I didn't let it ruin the day.)
- June 18: Backstreet Boys
- with: Shannon; Kristy later on
- We had REALLY GREAT seats. (Thanks to Kristy, who gave me mine for my birthday, so we only had to pay for Shannon's!)
- The show was a blast, fantastic.
- Met up with Kristy (and Sonya) afterward, ate pizza and discussed her awesome day MEETING THE BOYS!
- Fun fact: We blasted Backstreet on the way home from AFI, and ended up jamming to AFI on the way home from Backstreet. :)
- July 4: Independence Day Barbecue
- Midnight swim at my aunt's house, weeee!
