★General memories

  • Dipper was Mason's stage name. He preferred to go by Mason.
  • When we got old enough (I think around the same age as M & D from source) our parents sent us to live with Uncle Ford. I think he was related on our mother's side. He was very involved in demonology and dark arts, and I think our parents wanted us to learn. Mason became his primary apprentice and I kind of filled in the gaps and did whatever they needed. That seemed to be the role of women in our family.
  • Uncle Ford tricked Will Cipher into being captive, and was using him to try to gain more power. When Mason came, Ford could tell he'd have a lot more luck using Mason as a sort of channel for Will's power.
  • The two of us sort of took over the show from there. Uncle Ford handled things behind the curtain, and scheduled the private shows where me and Mason would really get into the dark stuff. Curses and looking into the future and stuff. Anything, really.
  • Stan distanced himself from the family and changed his last name to Pines because he didn't approve of the dark magic. He would only show up once in awhile when we were kids, I think to check on us and keep an eye on Uncle Ford. It was always a long time between visits. He didn't know me and Mason had been sent to live with Uncle Ford, but once he found out he moved into town and set up The Mystery Shack so he could keep an eye on us and make sure Uncle Ford wasn't hurting us. I remember when he first came and knocked on the door, I was the one who answered it and he got really stiff and asked what I was doing here. Uncle Ford came in and told me to go upstairs with Mason. Overall no one liked Stan.
  • Pacifica was still a North-West but she spent a lot of time at The Mystery Shack and was really cute and nerdy. She had a major crush on Mason. He knew this and exploited her for favors and information. They weren't even technically in a relationship but he definitely manipulated her and it was really toxic.
  • I don't remember what family Gideon was from. But he worked part time at The Mystery Shack with Stan and I think he kind of had a crush on Pacifica.
  • I was never touched or physically abused at all, but I was like, really sexualized especially on stage. Like Uncle Ford had me wearing fishnets and a bodysuit with very high cut legs and very low cut chest. He also taught me how to flirt with the men who came in so they would tip more.
  • I sort of saw boys as toys? I would flirt with them a lot and liked it when they gave me stuff. But I could imagine being in committed relationships with girls.
  • Loyalty was the absolute most important thing to our family. You never turned your back or spoke bad about blood. So despite being unhappy with my life and despite all the shitty things my family did, I still love them no matter what.
  • I was still friends with Candy and Grenda, they were kind of like my entourage. Whenever there was a guy trying too hard to get my attention they would make sure he left me alone.
  • I would sometimes confide in Mason about how scummy the shows and stuff made me feel but he would just chew me out and say I should be grateful for all the good it's done us.
