★General memories

  • We were all in a relationship! I think we were all 21+ too, unlike the show. We generally didn't drink though, even when me and Micky used to go to bars, we would just get sodas.
  • I had a couple boyfriends when I was young, but nothing serious, and it had been quite awhile. Me and Micky met at kind of, a gay bar I guess? We were together for a couple months. He had wanted to start a band for quite awhile, so eventually I convinced him to really go for it.
  • We met Mike first from the fliers, we met up to have drinks or something. Micky was a giant flirt, and kinda got Mike flustered, because he'd never interacted with a guy like that. I honestly didn't expect him to call us back about joining the band and was worried Micky made him uncomfortable. Me and Micky had a heart-to-heart and we both agreed it'd be cool to find another guy to add to our relationship. Again, it was a total surprise when Mike even joined the band, let alone started flirting back with Micky AND with me.
  • We met Davy the same way, but he was a bit more on-board with the flirting. He'd had flings with guys before, never a boyfriend.
  • I honestly think we lied to the landlord and told him we had way more money than we did. I don't know how else we managed to get that beach house, let alone keep it. It had one bedroom, and we pushed a few beds together to have a bed that all of us could fit on. We always cuddled together falling asleep. Davy was usually pressed against Mike, but other than that we switched places from night to night.
  • Even though Mike definitely warmed up to the idea of having boyfriends, we could still tell it was very new to him. He didn't know any lgbt+ people in Texas, and was pretty new to LA, so I think it was like emotional whiplash for him to go from "hmm maybe I'm into men" to having three boyfriends that frequently came in from the beach damp and shirtless.
  • Speaking of the beach, me and Davy spent the most time on it. He liked to really do stuff, like surf or swim or build sandcastles. I preferred to just sit and watch the waves, or maybe walk in the sand. Davy was happy doing stuff on his own, but a lot of the time he'd convince me to join him (honestly I didn't put up much of a fight), or drag one of the others out.
  • Davy really liked casual sex, especially with girls. We had to have a few serious talks with him, and got him to agree to only having flings with girls and to try to tell us when it was going on. We always got a little uncomfortable when he'd carry on seeing the same girl for more than a couple days, but he would always apologize and come home to us, so in the end it was alright.
  • I was the least popular with girls when we did shows, but that didn't bother me, because I was largely disinterested in them. I think there were still a couple source-compliant times I was interested in a girl, but it never lasted and it didn't feel the same as my attraction to guys. I think I comfortably identified as gay.
  • Birthdays and holidays were a BIG deal to all of us. Even though Mike hated getting presents and being doted upon on his birthday. I think he would've thrown a much bigger fit if Davy's birthday hadn't been on the same day. He always tried to pester me into spoiling the surprise a day or two before. I caved pretty often and gave him a rough outline of what me and Micky had planned.
  • I was a true hippie. I loved flowers, mostly only wore the tight clothes you see in the show on stage because I had a closet full of loose jeans and flowy shirts, and made love beads for myself and the guys all the time. I had to explain what they were to Mike and Davy but I think they really came around to them. I listened to a lot of cheerful bands, I think The Beach Boys were my favorite, I had quite a few records by them.
  • All of us had different ways of cheering each other up. Mike was "the smart one," like he would always try to actively solve the problem. If he couldn't intervene in the moment, he would have advice for whatever happened. Davy and his cute little accent would always have soft heart-to-heart chats, with lots of praise like "you did so well, I know it's hard, I love you, we're here for you," etc. Micky was definitely the distraction type, he would crack a bunch of jokes and sometimes start tickling whoever he was talking to until they smiled. I tended to just hold people, I wasn't very good with knowing what to say, so I just listened really well and hugged them.
  • My NSFW memories are mostly vague. We were all sort of switches, but Davy strongly preferred to bottom and Mike strongly preferred to top. I have pretty solid memories of fooling around with Micky in bathrooms, dark hallways, etc. before the rest of the guys joined us. He would grin like a cat and liked to give handjobs before anything got too hot and heavy, lots of whispering and hickies. So many hickies. We've all had to tell him to cut it out at some point. I gave great head, just saying.
  • The others jokingly made fun of The Beatles a lot but honestly I had a lot of their early records. They bopped. I think they were kind of, the movie versions of The Beatles? Like from AHDN and Help!, not the real life Beatles.
