- Make sure the wedding really represents who you are.
- Remember the marriage is way more important that the wedding.
- Don't let the priest stand in front of you during the vows
- Make sure the white carpet isn't wrinkled
- Don't forget the spiritual aspect of marriage
- Keep the ceremony and reception close together.
- Do make the guest gifts meaningful and memorable but not expensive.
- Don't spend too much on the cake, no one eats it.
- Do make sure the food and drinks are good. That's what everyone is looking forward too.
- Do make sure someone is coordinating the wedding events.
- Don't let the DJ play cheesy top 40. People only enjoy the classics anyway.
- Bright colors for bridesmaids sounds like a cool idea, but it won't be so cool when everyone's looking at them and all of a sudden your white dress is kind of boring.
- The summer is too hot to be in a big, heavy dress.
- Spend the most money on a photographer/ videographer. It's the only part that last.
- The maid of honor must be detail oriented and fully committed.
- Snacks for the guest upon arrival is a cute idea, expensive snack is waste.
- Staying in a separate hotel might be brilliant.
- Do invite friends that still mean the world to you, and obviously to them as well since you were invited to their wedding.
