After the mysterious death of his princess, Prince Lee Gak (who lives in the Joseon Era) decides to recruit three boys, each with a different skill (intelligence, strength and resourcefulness), to investigate what happened. The prince, along with his three loyal subjects, ends up traveling 300 years in the future and will end up on the penthouse (roof) of a building in present-day Seoul. This building is where Park Ha lives, a hardworking and cheerful young woman, who has a good foster mother and a mean and envious sister. At first, Park Ha doesn't believe the time travel story and thinks the guys have gone crazy. However, even so, she ends up taking responsibility for them and decides to teach them the customs of her time, allowing them to live in her building and work to pay her expenses. Throughout the story, the prince discovers that his princess has been reincarnated as Se Na (Park Ha's sister), and that he himself has also been reincarnated as Lee Tae Young, the grandson of the president of the company where Se Na works. However, Lee Tae Young disappeared in America without a trace. So Lee Gak decides to take Tae Young's place in order to investigate the princess's death, Tae Young's own disappearance, and also to conquer Se Na. For that, he and his servants start working at Tae Young's grandmother's company as executives, this way, they can observe things more closely. However, amid all this, the prince could hardly imagine that his heart would completely change, and that he and Park Ha would end up falling in love with each other.

Rooftop Prince is a very entertaining romantic comedy, which in addition to being funny, is full of mysteries and surprising revelations, where everything has its cause and consequence. The first episodes of the drama are really hilarious. The four “time travelers” go through very embarrassing and funny situations for not understanding the customs of the current time. I loved the way the fate of the characters was being sewn together, the present showing itself to be a mirror reality of the past, with the relationships that were impossible to happen in the distant (or not so distant) past finally having their opportunity. And with many hilarious scenes involving these four time travelers, from the uniform a la Power Rangers from the beginning to the transformation of businessmen capable of putting down Tae Moo's plans. My only reservation is that for a drama in which Time is practically a character, I thought the screenwriter was very remiss in marking its passage. Between the scenes of historical Joseon and the childhood of the girls in the “present” there were no major problems because the setting of the scenes plays this role. However, after we were only in the present, many times two years, a year, a month passed and the hint that this happened had to be captured through the characters' dialogues, which often weren't even that obvious. I don't think that making clear the longer passages of time is to underestimate the intelligence of those who are watching. Anyway, with the outline of the story and all the implications that the revelation of the crime would provoke in the lives of the characters, it became clear that its ending would not be easy, and that slips in the script simply by choosing the easiest way out could occur. But luckily that didn't happen. In addition to the screenwriter having saved a little more action and suspense for the end, which very well sewed up all the loose ends that were still left in the story, he did not opt for the easy way out (and which would also be more unrealistic, since even in the fantasy it's necessary to respect at least a little the laws of physics). And, in doing so, he ensured greater complexity to the story and provided it with a poetic ending. Beautiful! However, I understand that for those who don't believe in reincarnation, the ending must have been a little frustrating.
