Oh Kyung Hwi (Choi Min Ho) is a caring doctor who has never forgotten a stranger he met when he was 18, during his 2nd year of high school. At the time, young Han Na Bi (Lee Yoo Bi) had just enrolled in her class. Kyung Hwi was really a nerd during his school days and he never cared about matters other than studying, which is why his schoolmates bullied him. He tried to kill himself but was successful. Every time of these attempts, Han Na Bi appeared and gave the young nerd a scolding. Khyung Hwi vented to Han Na Bi and she decided to take revenge on the person responsible for the bullying. At that moment, Khyung Hwi had already fallen in love with Han Na Bi. Some time after the incident and seemingly inexplicably, Han Na Bi was the one who committed suicide, leaving a scar on everyone around her. Ten years after Han Na Bi's death, Kyung Hwi has a chance to return to the past.
As it's a web-drama, the story is short and develops very fast, so we soon find out. Anyway, it's nothing too surprising, but the story is exciting, compact and well crafted. Despite the fantasy genre being well explored, they managed to make the script charismatic, simple and constant. Somehow 18 really demonstrates that long episodes aren't necessary to provide us with a moving story with meaningful life lessons. In just a few hours this was possible. In a way, the drama makes people aware of valuing life and how we can become someone's light.
