Won, Crown Prince of Goryeo has good looks, but also a lust for conquest. His best friend is Rin, who belongs to the royal family and is his personal bodyguard. We have three main characters and in my opinion, despite the story having Won as the center, the three are equally important to the plot. Won is the main one, yes, but only because the story is his, and Rin and San are the pieces that help him to walk his path, to build himself. But in terms of telling a story, all three shine. Rin isn't in the story just to dispute San's love with Won, and San isn't there just to be disputed, as happens in many k-dramas. I felt pity, anger, wanted to kill, wanted to hug, I felt a trillion feelings for Won and all thanks to him. There's comic relief there, another there, but it's suffering, a good one, because it's not without foundation. All characters have reason to suffer and suffer, suffer a lot. You'll probably end the drama crying. It's not about romance it's about love. Is there a love triangle? Yes, we have. Do we have freaky moments? Yes, we have. But I don't know if the author was inspired by Jesus Christ or any other lamb, but what happens is that what you will see more in this drama is sacrifice for love and no "I love you" or "You are the love of my life", it doesn't work. The actions in this drama speak louder than the words. Friendship: One of the focuses of the drama is this, with some stumbles and bounds, passion and friendzone, the three are very close friends and that is one of the great messages of the drama, the love between friends. Here, in this drama, he is often placed on a level above the love between man and woman. And to see them sacrificing themselves for the other's well-being is very beautiful, sometimes sad too, but not all relationships are just flowers and love isn't always just joy. One of the negative points is the excess of flashbacks. I enjoy a few flashbacks here and there, but it was a lot. Some episodes could have shown things they didn't instead of the thousands of flashbacks. It was a flashback of Rin, San, Won, all of Goryeo. The ending makes you cry, but I don't know why the writer tends to rush the endings and drag out some earlier episodes.
