Woo Seo Ri is an accomplished violinist, a true classical music prodigy. At the height of her 17 years, Seo Ri was about to start a new stage of her career: an exchange program at a renowned music school in Germany. However, close to her departure, she suffers a serious traffic accident that prevents the realization of her dream and leaves her in a coma. Gong Woo Jin is a teenager who has recently returned from Germany after spending time with his older sister. A skilled draftsman, he found in a young violinist, whose name he believed to be Soo Mi, the inspiration for one of the most beautiful acrylic drawings he ever made. Looking for an opportunity to approach her and deliver the drawing, he ends up being part of the same traffic accident as Seo Ri, but in a roundabout way. Believing himself to be responsible for what happened to “Soo Mi”, he developed a heavy trauma that left him emotionally isolated from the people around her. Thirteen years after the fateful episode, Seo Ri awakens again from her coma. While her body has gone through a process of physical transformation over the years, her mind is still at the age it was when she had the accident. Now Gong Woo Jin, or simply Mr Gong, became a set designer and a person considered, to say the least, eccentric. The path of the two crosses once more, starting the whole plot of the drama. Seo Ri has been in a coma for thirteen years and when she awakens, nothing is as she remembers it. Unlike her body that kept up with the passage of time, for her mind, it was like falling asleep at seventeen and waking up at thirty. Her teenage mind is in shock at first, but thanks to the inherent optimism of this age, that better days will come, she does not let herself down in the face of the challenges that await her in a forced adult life. Instead, she struggles to find her new place in the world, considering that she can no longer be that young promise of classical music, as her time has changed.

30 but 17 proves to be a story about second chances from its synopsis. The two main characters have big gaps in their lives and need to go through the reunion, both personal and interpersonal. Other characters also go through this narrative line. In 30 but 17, no character exists without a purpose. They are all connected for some reason and little by little this is revealed to the public. Each episode brings a small piece of the beautiful (and cute, really cute!) puzzle that this story has. Without a doubt it's a drama that I wholeheartedly recommend for people to watch. To say he's cute is an understatement considering everything it's brought me. It may seem exaggerated, but it has points that touched me a lot, especially in terms of time and the way you live and deal with it. The plot is very well tied and has a plot twist that gives it a little extra spice. It has some very common clichés in the romantic-comedy style, but it's not cloying at any time. His characters were very well built and all have their due importance within the story.
