This drama is very light and without commitment to a heavy plot - despite having a suspenseful background plot. So, don't expect too much. It has decent character development, though it's pretty much what you'd expect from an ordinary girl-chaebol romance. With the exception of the last four episodes, which, in my view, were just meant to fill out the 16, most of them are smooth and enjoyable, well what is desirable in a romantic comedy. If you're looking for a romantic comedy to watch because of that kind of interaction, it's definitely worth it! It has very good kisses and more intense scenes that are worth every second. What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim is an uncompromised drama. So don't expect big reveals, although it really explores the characters' phobias (fear of spiders and fear of cables). It's fun, it entertains, it generates some expectation to discover the story, but it doesn't need full attention. Furthermore, not all core characters are so captivating and generate many similar situations of the merely comic genre. If you are a fan of Park Min Young, don't delay to see it. The actress shines from beginning to end with her charisma, beauty, and sunny personality. Even without many nuances in the character, she is very sweet, but at the same time firm and dignified. It's worth watching to admire her. Watching their journey as individual beings and then together in their attempts to become a couple brings with it wonderful scenes that make us laugh and have fun together. Due to the slightly narcissistic personality of the vice president, we see the most crooked declarations of love possible when he can't avoid talking about himself, but we also see a character who tries at all costs to open up little by little to show his true face in front of the woman he loved almost unconsciously. The story of Kim Mi-So and the vice president permeates typical narratives of adult life and conveys this to the screen in a smart and light way, which makes the drama perfect entertainment for times when we just want to have a little peace of mind watching something cool and unpretentious.
