Lee Soo Yeon dreamed of becoming a pilot, but he had an accident that put a damper on his dream. He goes to work at Incheon International Airport, in the general planning department, but hides a secret that keeps him apart from his co-workers. Han Yeo Reum is a bubbly new passenger service agent who really wants to do her best. But her clumsy nature makes her a threat to herself and the passengers. Lee Soo Yeon is an employee of the passenger services department, he is low-key, always on his own, wants to live an ordinary life without attracting attention. He is great at what he does, centered and cautious, but he has a secret that cannot be revealed to anyone so he prefers to stay away from people. Lee Soo Yeon had an accident a few years ago and was unable to walk or move one of his arms, so he uses mysterious prostheses. But with the arrival of Han Yeo Reum in his department, everything changes. Han Yeo Reum keeps making mistakes and getting scolded for being too absent-minded so she is determined to do a good job in the department she transferred to. And of course she's going to get into a lot of trouble and that's when Lee Soo Yeon also goes for it because of her. Not that he wants to protect her from anything, after all in the beginning they hate each other, but little by little her curiosity grows about who he really is and how he manages to do such impressive things – the so-called “super powers”. And he ends up involved with her due to several “coincidences”.

Where Stars Land is about people who work in the passenger service department and some other departments at Incheon International Airport. The interesting thing about this drama is that it's not about pilots and stewardesses like ALL drama whose environment is the airport, but about very specific departments within it that we often don't even remember that they exist. I was very captivated by this theme, as it addresses the conflicts, concerns, and the work done by them in the busy day-to-day of an airport where a lot can happen, many people pass through there, as well as many stories are left in that place. I really liked how the script combined some of the employees' everyday situations and their personal lives, of course the protagonists in more depth, but other secondary characters are also a love. I loved most of them. Ah, the script also works well with “coincidences” in the lives of the characters and I thought that was just beautiful. But there was something about the drama that bothered me a lot, which was the focus on certain boring characters that don't add much to the story. While I wanted to know more about the protagonists' backgrounds, even the cases of random people passing through the airport, the drama sometimes spent a good deal of time on scenes of department managers discussing, planning things at work, or just being really boring and that didn't hold me back at all. So much so that the only worthwhile character among these managers is Yang Seo Koon. I really preferred that they had shown more passenger stories and even more of the protagonist, who would yield a lot of good things (yes, more) with those prosthetics that gave him super powers. It's not a perfect drama, nor too deep, nor with many twists. It's not a must-watch. It's a nice drama to follow without too many worries, you know? Following Lee Soo Yeon's story made me emotional and distressed. He had many worries, fears and insecurities about himself that prevented him from being completely happy. Mainly because he thought that his problems would prevent him from finding someone who would love him in those conditions. In addition, there is a lot involved related to those coincidences that I mentioned, which makes his story even more interesting to follow due to the slight suspense that is revealed throughout the episodes. In the same way, I enjoyed accompanying Yeo Reum, who was clumsy and I identified myself, I just wanted to say things that I think she said just like that. I loved her getting mad and complaining, and I didn't find her annoying for that. A normal character who makes mistakes and learns from them. And she learned a lot at that airport, you see.
