trying to look at a few positive things...

• attempting to take Latin with brittany and rayne. and of course mary deforest phd.
• skipping ONE latin class, being so far behind that she blatantly announced to the class
• ....dropping Latin
• taking care of a cat....ahem...
• study nights at st. marks with the usual
• study days at the market with the usual
• running into chris at the market
• free pastries
• free coffee
• free beer
• classes lacking stimulation so much that it was ok to drink in the alley on a bench on tuesday nights
• happy hour with brittany at city o city
• waiting for john and sometimes rayne in north classroom
• going to the gym
• realizing even in 3000 level philosophy classes, some people still don't know what the categorical imperative is.
• or...who Immanuel Kant is
• i don't want to do film studies anymore
• periodically skipping class to do useless things
• then decided to periodically skip class to do useful things
• staying late on campus to be able to take the bus with john
• getting thai and chinese takeout
• grazing at whole foods
• unfortunately after the fact, learning life is going to be a hell of a lot more unenjoyable and I should have sucked it up and did well
• though, also learning that the conventionality of education isn't everything, and i can redeem myself when it comes time for grad. school
• i finally got through it and I won't do what I did again
• going to get my ass kicked next semester. cant' wait.
