• Hit Single - The Bleeding Hearts (This is my dance-around-in-your-undies song of the year. Plus, anything with a horn section makes me go weak at the knees at the moment)
  • Burn that Broken Bed - Iron & Wine (Mmmm.. new Iron & Wine. Also, what did I just say about horns?)
  • Cattle and Cane - The Go-Betweens (I can't believe how long it took me to find this band)
  • Leilani - Hoodoo Gurus (I don't care that it's pub rock. I really don't)
  • Guilty Cubicles - Broken Social Scene (From the instrumental album that I listened to for months last semester. This song makes me want to be in a park somewhere watching the trees sway.. or something equally as lame)
  • Know Your Product - The Saints (Mmmm. More horns. I listened to a lot of Aussie punk as part of my thesis research. Some of it had to be good)
  • Win/Lose - Whirlywirld (I have a weakness for cheap 80s synth pop)
  • Perfect Neglect in a Field of Statues - Eluvium (Another instrumental track that I listen to on repeat while writing essays. I need more Eluvium, it's all so pretty.)
  • Heaven That I'm Making - Crowded House (On high rotation at work. I actually mistook it for Shane Nicholson at first)
  • If You Want Me - Glen Hansard & Marketa Irglova (From the movie Once. Emma somehow reminded me that I wanted to listen to it again)
  • Quedateluna - Devendra Banhart (It's in Spanish but I still crank it up and sing along if there's no one in the car with me)
  • The Rescue: Day Eight - Explosions in the Sky (Technically, this belongs in a list titled "Songs I REALLY WANT to listen to", since it was on my laptop when it died, and I haven't been able to find it again. Another gorgeous instrumental track that I sometimes make up words to)
