- I smoked weed with my mom (REALLY weird)
- at the time, I understood the situation was strange, even though I knew it was something that had happened before
- Sarah picked me up late and I missed my plane home to California
- I asked mom what to do and she said, "You're going to have to take this boat."
- Apparently we were on a boat called the Queen Victoria and she had bought me a ticket back to California
- I remembered that Queen Victoria was the same queen who was ruling during the time period of the current book I'm reading about Gertrude Bell, which I decided was an unlikely coincidence.
- I then wondered if we were really on the Queen Anne and she was just getting the names mixed up.
- I asked her how long this would take and she said TWO DAYS
- This was not good, because I had a final on that second day (which was Wednesday) and I couldn't miss it
- This is now my second dream that involves me missing a final, which is depressing because school's not even in session
- I proceeded to bitch and moan about the situation, and my mom blamed me, saying the whole reason I missed my flight in the first place was because I am too crazy.
- This obviously pissed me off and I thought, "Wow, why is my mom being so fucked up? This is unreal. Why is she making me travel by boat? Why didn't she just buy me a plane ticket? Why is she smoking weed and talking shit?"
- This must have triggered my reality checks, because then I woke up. The last thing I saw was my mom looking at me with disgust, really annoyed that she had to deal with this at all. I woke up wondering what her problem had been.
