these are shops that i recommend. some are more cheap and less reliable than others. the majority of these are online shops. ☆ = places that i've personally shopped from.

  • ☆ forever 21 - a given; it's close to my house, has frequent sales, and has cute essential pieces. (try shopping in the men's section for more variety !!)
  • ☆ american apparel - i admit that it's expensive, but the clothes are american-made and sweatshop free !! a great place for basics; i only shop sales there though,,,
  • milkbbi - on the more expensive side but their clothes are really cute and "anime" style; i only have one piece from them that i bought secondhand
  • ☆ milk&sugar - t-shirt shop! owned by a super cool girl and check out the store ig too @milkandsugar.shop; i own like 3 shirts from here haha

  • wait for sales!! patience is a small price to pay for actual money
  • buy clothes off-season ! aka buy your sweaters in the summer and wait to wear them, same with you summer wear in the winter. it's likely that they'll be on sale or at a cheaper price
  • take advantage of shipping deals. if you really want multiple items, wait and figure out how to try and order them at the same time. i know it seems like you're spending a lot at once, but if you only order everything you want like once a year, you're saving money on shipping and your net total is the same opposed to not buying in bulk
  • obviously, save up money! some ppl get money from chores, others from new year money(like me) don't spend it on things that won't last, such as unnecessary snacks or music (download music yall)

okay so now you guys know where i get Some of my clothes, but the storefront i use to shop at the most is... depop!!! depop is an app that lets people sell their used clothes. often, the prices there are reduced a lot and are not too worn out :') so you get cute clothes + cheap prices

before you buy:

  • read the seller's store policies
  • see if they have good reviews
  • check posts for try-ons (modeled pictures of the clothing)
  • check how old the post is
  • check shipping prices
  • CHECK SIZING !! ask the seller for measurements if you're unclear!!!!

often, bundling multiple items in one seller's store helps reduce the price or shipping

don't be afraid to try and bargain with the seller !!(unless a fixed price is stat...

i know that some of these tips are obvious, but i hope this is some help to others !!

  • READ MEASUREMENTS - accurately measure yourself with some breathing room and double, triple check with the measurements online !! most websites have a disclaimer that their measurements are 2-3 cm off, so watch out for that too
  • BE WARY ABOUT COLOR - some colors may appear more bright/dull in real life because of filters/pc screen differences, so don't set a definite expectation on what you think your item will look like
  • SHOES - unless you are Absolutely Sure of you shoe/foot size, i dont recommend buying shoes online... because of different standards for size/ material of shoe/ overall comfort, you cant really tell what the shoe is going to feel like, and with some websites you cant refund, so be caref...
