Here is a list of roleplay terms commonly used in K-pop Twitter RPW, in alphabetical order. CTRL+F to search for a specific term.

• Canon: refers to plot/events/details that are officially part of the story in a fictional universe.
• Descriptive: a way of plotting that involves details to a character’s actions and the scenario taking place.
• Facechasing: pursuing or interacting with someone purely because of their faceclaim. Tends to involve ignoring or making little effort to befriend and talk to other roleplayers.
• Godmodding: taking control of another character’s actions and emotions without their permission.
• Literate: a type of roleplay that consists of multiple paragraphs in proper grammar and spelling, with detailed descriptions of a character’s internal thoughts and feelings as well as their surroundings. Usually in 3rd POV. Emojis, memes, and actions described with asterisks (*) or slashes (/) are not allowed.
• MDNI: stands for ‘Minors Do Not Interact’. A label used by roleplayers over the age of 18 (OOC) to state that they will not roleplay with those underage.
• Metagaming: using external knowledge, such as OOC or from another character, to give your own character an advantage, even when your character was not supposed to know that information yet or at all.
• Mirror-literate: a plotting preference in which you reply about the same length as that of your roleplaying partner.
• Mun: the roleplayer behind the keyboard.
• Muse: refers to a roleplayer’s character.
• NSA: stands for ‘No Strings Attached’. A label used by roleplayers who are not looking for a committed relationship.
• OC: the Original Character created by a person.
• One-liner: a single sentence reply.
• Para/Multi-Para: short for paragraph, or multi-paragraph. Plotting that consists of one or more paragraphs, often with detailed descriptions of actions and dialogue.
• Plot/Plotting: an interaction or storyline between two or more characters that involves a setting, scenario, and sometimes an end goal.
• Poly: a type of relationship where someone has more than one romantic/sexual partner, with the informed consent of all parties involved.
• POV: the Point of View, or perspective, in which your story plot is told. It can be in 1st POV where actions are described with asterisks (*) or slashes (/) (often without either), or 3rd POV which involves describing a character’s dialogue, actions, and thoughts in appropriate detail.
• Powerplaying: manipulating your character by making them all-knowing or all-powerful.
• Semi-literate: a type of roleplay that is similar to literate in terms of proper grammar and spelling, but is a lot less rigid. Involves interactions that can be as long as a few lines, to 1-2 small paragraphs, but usually not more than that. Both POVs can be used, depending on a roleplayer’s preference. Speaking is described with quotations (“) and actions are described in sentence form, though asterisks (*) or slashes (/) are sometimes used as well.
• Starter: the first post in a roleplay thread. Sometimes planned ahead before the two, or more, characters start plotting together.
• Timeskip: used to skip forward in a plot timeline, usually by hours, days, or weeks. Should be discussed between two roleplayers before it can be used.
• Trigger/Content Warning: a tag ‘TW’ or ‘CW’ placed at the very top of a post to warn other roleplayers of content that contains triggering or explicit topics. Use with caution and consideration of others.
