  • ★★★★¾; this series is very good though i postponed watching the last 4 episodes for a long time. it does the job that the book didn’t do for me: being precise and well organized. however, it has some minor plot holes (for me, easily passable; i don’t even remember them but sure they exist) but it is not the series fault, it is the original writer’s. the visual effects are great and the scenarios are marvelous to look at. great characters and great deepness to them too. although this may sound like i’m nit-picking i hate how daemons are just forgotten during fight scenes and many others. that is why it is not a five star for me.

  • ★★★★★; perfect. incredible. amazing. show-stopping. never-the-same. i was watching this season with high hopes to be attended and they surprisingly did! they introduced new characters and added deepness to others. know character's redemptions were perfect: real, relatable and possible! and netflix opened a lot of pathways to a possible third season. the cinematography is always on point, the music?! ugh! amazing! the delicate and touching way that the series talks about some very touchy and heavy subjects is really something to look forward on other productions because it is really inspiring. however, i do wish it had more episodes so it could get even deeper in some situations. i love this series so much! i really do!

• beastars (2019)

  • ★★★☆☆; when i watched the first three episodes i was so into it! everything had a lot of potential, the murder case, the world of herbivores and carnivores living together in "harmony" in a society based around vegetarian diet et cetera. but unfortunately almost nothing was explained and the anime turned into a furry confusing romantic story. i was so disappointed! however, the animation and the artistic choices in some scenes are just marvelous to watch. the 3d animation getting mixed with the 2d is just so interesting. it’s a bummer that i didn’t enjoyed it fully.

  • ★★★★★; at first i thought it was a cheesy comedy show and such a bad idea. but i grew to like every bit of joke although comedy is not my preferred genre. the humor is right up my alley and let good laughs out. curiously, every actor is so beautiful it’s actually hard to be unlike elanor and call everyone hot and attractive. i am really enjoying this show, it is very funny and entertaining, the length of the episodes are just perfect. really recommend it!

  • ★★★★★; i think i never found such a light-hearted and beautiful tv series like “anne with an e”. it has really contrasting points and scenes, like anne’s abusive past and her new life in green gables and it’s very great, all of it. i saw myself in anne a lot, i usually talk a lot when i’m nervous and i’m also obsessed with books and living one’s life that’s not mine. that’s kinda sad but it’s truth. it’s a shame this got cancelled.

  • ★★★★★; possibly one of the greatest anime i've ever seen! it was so amazing to have the opportunity to watch this with my friends, we had a lot of fun, certainly! it kept us on the edge of our seats for the whole period that we were watching the series, and we saw all twelve episodes in just a day, an afternoon to be precise. i got really and truly attached to so many characters: krone, isabella, norman... and many others! the plot and its twists are just marvellous and i'm looking forward to watch the second season!

  • ★★★★★; well... i guess i never loved a series more than i love "anne with an e". i usually don't get attached to tv series because they're long and most oftlenly very disappointing to me, but this one is definitely a point out of the curve and has encouraged me to make a "favourite tv shows" list. it has such a sensibility, such good cinematography, characters and so much more! i wanted more but unfortunately cbc and netflix cancelled it. i love this with all my heart and hope the producers will reconsider their decision.

  • ★★★★★; this is one of the greatest dramedies (and tv shows!) i've ever watched! it is so great, funny. i really loved it! there were times that i cried whilst laughing and the next scene i was trying not to cry. all of flea's looks to the camera are so funny even if she doesn't say a word! phoebe's ability to make such wonderful screenplay and also act just as great! loved this series and although i love the end, my heart wishes a next season that will probably never happen.
• the legend of korra (2012-2014)

  • ★★★½☆; this is not a bad cartoon, it’s just very underwhelming and i get why... but it’s still really difficult to ignore the things i disliked in both seasons. the show was originally made for children but that doesn’t mean that the show must have shallow dialogues and very weird 3d animation. everything escalates very quickly and sometimes i just wanted to watch to get it over with. i like the characters and what this show becomes on the last two seasons but... these ones are just lackluster.

• neon genesis evangelion (1995)

  • ★★★★★; truly a masterpiece! "evangelion" was revolutionary on the time it was first launched and i just love it. from the beginning to the end i loved every episode. the characters are amazingly constructed, the world building and the mythic facade for the show to speak up about mental health and the hardship of relationship between us and others. evangelion is just perfect, it's very triggering and true to one's experience of depression et cetera but it ends on a note of hope. love it!

  • ★★★★★; i hate that this is american-centered. the series is good however, it's just perpetuating some tropes in cinema and television that i'm seeing going away (thankfully). i like the love stories, the beggining is just marvelous because of how sincere her loneliness show even in a beautiful city waiting to be discovered. its a dumb rom-com netflix series but it's fun and although the plot is dumb, there no holes (which i very much appreciate).

  • ★★★★☆; i liked this strange anime. however, the only problem with this piece is the same problem i have with anything that is mainstream and japenese: it's too extravagant and caricaturized. things are easily solved, explained and treated with such coolness that is weird that all main characters are children. i'd say i expected more but it is good if you take all that as an stylistic choice of the creators.
• queen's gambit (2020)

  • ★★★★★; i think this is one of my favourite series of the year if not of my whole entire life! by now 'tis common sense that 'the queen's gambit' is a huge sucess both in critics and in popular appraisal. beautifully shot and made, this story had me binge watch it all in one day only. loved every bit of this! i have no bad critiques to this. and oh my god does anya-taylor joy know how to portray drug abusing behaviours. incredible.
