Hufflepuff House

The House of the Founder Helga Hufflepuff. Its members are honest, hard-working, friendly, loyal, and impartial. They tend to be more modest and less competitive than members of the other houses. The Hufflepuff common room is located through a pile of large barrels, stacked in a shadowy stone recess located in a corridor near the kitchens. It has no password; it opens if one taps on the second barrel from the bottom in the middle of the second row in the rhythm of "Helga Hufflepuff." It is also the only common room that has intruder-repelling devices (tapping on the wrong barrel or the wrong number of times results in the barrel exploding and drenching the impostor in vinegar).
