The House of the Founder Salazar Slytherin. This house is composed mostly of pure-blood students because of Salazar Slytherin's mistrust of muggle-borns. The house values cunning, resourcefulness, and ambition in its members. It is common knowledge that most Dark wizards come from Slytherin House. The common room is located in the dungeons of Hogwarts Castle, underneath the Black Lake. To enter, one must speak the password (which changes every fortnight) to a damp stone wall.
