Differences from the book that bothered me.

• Harry is meant to be doing homework under the sheets at night, not trying to get his wand to light up
• Aunt Marge stays for a week, not for dinner
  • She gets stuck up on their ceiling, never actually makes it outside
• Harry masquerades as Neville Longbottom on the Knight Bus
• He stays in the Leaky Cauldron Inn for a week and explores Diagon Alley
• There are supposed to be a lot of hippogriffs and the whole class tries to befriend them
  • Harry doesn't actually enjoy flying on Buckbeak
• Harry walks in late to the Defense Against the Dark Arts class Snape teaches
• He never has a touching talk with Sirius before he leaves
• He gets the Firebolt mysteriously in the middle of the year, not at the end.
• Hermione is actually quite annoying in this book
• A lot of peoples' lines got switched around.
