The original is mournful, solemn, and slow. The Synapson is inspiring and uplifting. "It makes you want to get up and do something," Rob said.

This is gorgeous. His voice is lovely.

OF COURSE AFTER THE FACT I CAN SEE IT'S PAINFULLY OBVIOUSLY A PHANTOGRAM SONG

A perfect example of a remix that accomplished the modern version of the original's vibe.

Haha, neither Rob nor I thought there'd be an original. But I googled just the vocalist's name plus the song title, and I found this very-1983 song by Chaka Khan.

  • TEEMID x Daniela Andrade – Latch (remix) (original (kind of): Daniela Andrade – Latch (cover)) (actual original: Disclosure – Latch)

This was a great detour through a breathtaking cover of a supremely popular song. I'm glad TEEMID remixed the Daniela Andrade cover instead of Sam Smith's version. It's fitting that TEEMID, a house dj, recrafted an acoustic recrafting of a house song to bring it back home.

  • MÖWE – Call You Home (bootleg) (original: Kelvin Jones – Call You Home)

Kelvin Jones and his beautiful voice have recently been signed to Sony, according to his comment below this video. His voice is also amazing. The MÖWE bootleg has been hard to track down – it appears in this mixtape, another Get the Tape mixtape by MÖWE themselves, but I can't find the track. I can only find a few other "bootlegs" by them on YouTube, so we'll keep looking.

This song already lends itself really well to being remixed as a house song – melodic, strong beat, epic overtones.

  • Nora En Pure – Hope (remix) (original: Sir Felix – Hope)

Sir Felix's original is pretty cool, but the Nora En Pure remix is way better – jammier and punchier. Of course, that's the name of the game with this mixtape. Everything needs hit hard and sweet on the ear, like sour candy. Maybe that's why I like it so much.
