• uh.. uhh... just some stuff that we personally believe in / our take on some topics. it's kind of difficult for us to word things properly so apologies if this is worded weirdly (aka this is just an excuse to word vomit and vent about things. tbh dont even read this it is so cringey /srs)

 

I. ⠀ ——   RELIGION

• honestly, we don't have much experience with religions other than christians / catholics, so we'll only be talking about those two. we don't really know the difference all that well, so bare with me loll

okay, so... we went to a catholic middle school and we honestly hated it. they would force us to stand up and pray everyday and we had to go to masses a lot. and the entire 'beg to the lord for forgiveness for your sins' thing is just, ??? like they would literally make us face the wall and go on our knees to pray for 5 minutes LOL safe to say not a good experience

and for christians... our father is christian and honestly it's absolutely terrifying. he's literally also a trump supporter (WE'RE NOT EVEN AMERICAN??? WE DONT LIVE IN AMERICA???) and believes in like the flat earth and stuff so. like. you can already guess what typa person he is. ik he wants us to believe the same things he does bc he admitted it to us that he was slowly trying to introduce us to his beliefs throughout the years. isn't that like. religious grooming?? is that a thing??? idk. he calls immigrants 'aliens' and is so homophobic and transphobic. its so crazy tho cuz our entire family is black so like... wtf??? he has def faced racism in his life so to experience that and to still turn around at oppressed people and spit in their faces is just kind of crazy to me. idk. im getting off track though

safe to say i am agnostic!!! obv no hate to anyone that believes in a god / higher power, but our experience with religion and the hatred i see from people that believe in one is just ridiculous and i don't want to deal with it. just because you practice a religion does not mean that it is morally correct!!! (also from what we've heard the bible literally says to love and not judge ur neighbour so literally where is all of this bigotry coming from...)

 

II. ⠀ ——   LGBTQ+

• quite a short one cuz we think our stance on this is kinda OBVIOUS.

so much hate in the world.. hhhh... it's honestly scary rn for queer ppl rn bc maga has their sights on us :broken_heart: i remember reading that maga cannot function as a party unless if they have a target to go after / spew hate towards and honestly i see it. they were after colored people until the black lives matter movement and it stopped being socially appropriate to be racist, and now they turned their sights towards queer people. i've read so many stories online about peoples experiences and it's so crazy that people care so much about what's between someone elses pants or who they like to kiss sloppy style. like, sorry?? that is none of ur business?? LOL. also oh my god did anyone else the explosion on twitter when the tomodachi life direct dropped:sob: SO many people were being snowflakes about there being a nonbinary and gender preference option like... WAA WAA WAA bro who honestly gaf. you control the buttons you press?? if you don't want the nonbinary option dont?? click it?? we have truly regressed as a society... (tho tbf after the checkmark update on that horrid site people just make ragebait now for money so i wouldn't even trust anyone on there)

 

II. ⠀ ——   SYSTEMS

• getting a little bit into weird territory here... just note that we're not a system, we know what systems are but we do not share their experiences, so honestly we don't have much of a say in this debate. though tbh we're yapping anyways so we'll just put our two cents in

okay... so... the main debate around systems is whether non-traumatic systems are valid or not. we haven't really researched about this debate much but we were looking through the endogenic hastag on tumblr and. like. they're lowk kinda chill... AUGHHH WAIT!! STOP THROWING TOMATOES AT ME!! STOP STOPE!!!! obviously just because a community looks to be non-problematic doesn't mean that they are. we feel like an easy way to solve this is if endogenic systems made like, their own term or something? that wasn't related to DID/OSDD? okay kind of a stupid idea but it's all we could think of tbh.

another thing we wanna talk about is online systems. specifically pony town systems. (pony town is an online hanging out social game based on mlp btw) we see them, like, everywhere. and it's weird that theres so many of them (which 90% are fictive based) when apparently DID/OSDD is such a rare disorder? not to mention that most of them are like, 15-18. we think we've even seen a 13 year old say that they were a system. probably. is this us being a bigot? idk bro. just be careful in who you believe in ig.

 

III. ⠀ ——   TABOO TOPICS IN FICTION

• oka this is the last one. we wanted to talk about a few other different thing but this is wayyy too long. we'll prob move this to like our archive or something instead tbh. also take everything we say with a cup of salt, these are the ramblings of a not mentally well person after all lol

okay, so... the big one... well, not really in comparison to the real-world affects the other topics held. but anyways, we'll mostly be talking about pro/darkshipping here. we're personally against censorship and harassment over taboo fiction, and we honestly feel like that should be the norm. though stuff like that should stay on adult online spaces, and should be tagged correctly as explicit so that way the people who don't want to see that type of content wont. when we were a kid we got exposed to a lot of darkfic content through youtube, which made us think that shipping stuff like ereri was okay. (obv u can see what the problem is here)

we feel like the majority of fandoms are exposed to darkships through those types of tiktok posts, which are mostly made by children. 13-15 yr olds. then those people who watch these videos attack, harass, and send death threats to literal children. which is not okay. obviously, a 13 year old should NOT know what darkships are, and it is a failure on the parents side that their children are being unsupervised online and therefor being exposed to this type of content. but it is also not okay to just tell these children to kill themselves over it (btw we're also aware that a majority of these accounts could also be fake to 'ragebait' people, considering how much people violently explode at seeing proship content.) tbh whenever we see these types of accounts we just feel sad and miserable that children are learning these things at their age, like, they're literally babies they shouldn't even be aware of any of this, nevermind endorsing it.

another major thing is that a lot of darkshippers consume that type of content as a non-harmful way to explore taboo ideas without it affecting actual real people, and a lot of other people use it as a way to cope with trauma. people should not be getting told to go jump into traffic because they're doing something that is not particularly harmful. and if it is harming the person that is consuming it, then telling them to go kill themselves and that they're a horrible person is just?? going to make it worse?? please, have some empathy.

oka, we're stopping here. theres way too much more that we want to say, but it gets to a point. lol. again, we're just yapping here so theres really no reason to read all this. seriously, dont.
