Things to bring on our week-long metropolitan trips.

• Car, with GPS and in-car charger
• In-car as well as wall cell phone chargers
• Collapsable, carryable tripod for the camera
• Appropriate clothes obviously, but comfortable and multipurpose, and not too many
• Powder laundry detergent and coins, so we can do laundry during that week at coin-operated laundromats, and also so we can park at metered spots
• Toiletries, particularly shampoo, face wash, toothbrush, and toothpaste
• Blankets/sleeping bags, in case we have to sleep in the car
• Dorky cheapie giant rain ponchos, like the ones from amusement pars or niagara falls
• Hats
• Sunglasses
• A flat of water in the trunk
• Toilet paper for rest stop bathrooms
• Snacks and food, divided up into ziploc bags
• My whole "purse," aka bag prepared seemingly for the apocalypse, as written in my listography
• Passports, if we want to drive to Canada or Mexico
• Drivers' licenses, insurance papers, registration
