- fake liang (mei'an) absorbed into fake konigreich, mei'an nobles still retain some control but they're beholden to nik ofc
- nik originally had mai fuck off to human world bc wanted her isolated from noble allies to erode @ power/influence and also probably when he does his Big Boss Battle Plan & eventually tries to get rid of her?
- & mai tryna figure out how to kill nik w/o knowing 100% nik's plans (prob suspects) but was kinda at a stalemate before shannon shows up
