initial bookshelf

• closed bookshelf with 120 books.
• only books physically present until 12/31/2025.
• it is not allowed to add books purchased from 2026 onward, except for the exceptions provided.

authors and series

• if a book by an author or series is read:
  • i can add the next book by the same author or series, as long as it was already on my bookshelf until 2025.

draw and readings

• priority readings must come from the bookshelf by draw.
• minimum of 4 draws per month.
• readings outside the draw are allowed only for book club books.
• if a book club book is already on the bookshelf:
  • it counts as a bookshelf read,
  • replaces one of the minimum monthly draws.
• if the book chosen by a book club is not on the initial bookshelf, but was purchased until 12/31/2025,
  • it can be added to the bookshelf exceptionally,
  • without the need to replace a read book,
  • and will count as a bookshelf read when it is read.
• i have 3 free passes per year to skip a drawn book.
• for every 10 books read, i earn +1 free pass.

2026 goal

• minimum goal: 60 books read from the bookshelf in 2026 (50% of the initial list).
• levels:
  • bronze: 20 books
  • silver: 40 books
  • gold: 60 books

book purchases (from 2026 onward)

• only allowed to buy new books if:
  • they are monthly reads from book clubs
    • or
  • they are secondhand (used) books
    • or
  • at the book fair, without overdoing it.
