this book.....i spent 6 months reading this....ok trust me on this but this was really fun to read! I KNOW WHAT YOURE THINKING...."it took you 6 months to read it dawg wym it was fun to read??" LISTEN. shit was hella boring in the start but it got good when the male love interest came in ok. NOT TO MENTION THE LESBIAN FIRE PRINCESS....i love althea shes so hot and her gf? hot babes fr. although i dont think they are gfs anymore... spoilers ahead! as always. btw this fey series book is by ben alderson! his writing is very detailed and its very easy to visualize the fighting scenes honestly. def gonna read his other books after i finish book 2 of the fey series. i think there is gonna be 6 books in the fey series? idk i saw on ben's twitter his whole book storyline. he has other books too so once im feeling up to it i'll read the others! for now lets talk about this one cuz theres a LOT to unpack. spoilers ahead, again, reminding.

ERIX AND ROBINNNN??? the tension between these two are driving me insane i kid you not. yes before u go on this is a GAY FEY SERIES. the start of the book was actually really boring i nearly dozed off the first time i read it but as it went on the story became clearer and really fun to read like i said previously. so this book is about robin who is actually like a descendant of the icethorn court? (I THINK) hes also like one of the few people left of the court cus everyone there died i forgot how they died but i think they were killed by the other love interest's court? courts are sorta like nations. yk avatar? the earth kingdom fire nation etc etc yeah this is sorta like that except its called "courts" and so help me i cant remember any other except for icethorn LMAO. anyways hes on his journey to reclaim the icethorn court and become a king even tho he has like no army and shit its very funny tbh but anyways....thats the whole lore in book 1 and YES HE DOES BECOME KING. in the most messiest way ever?? there were so many plot twists and deaths here?? first was althea's brother when they went to icethorn for the first time bro got killed by a fricking hunter SO GOOOFYYYY but ofc it was really sad...then it was althea's gf i forgot her name but she almost died being a taste tester for robin?? turns out she planned that the WHOLE TIME? she kidnapped robin for idk what reason i forgot i think she was told to do it for money but holy shit she had me fooled fr. remember that other love interest i was talking about? i got SO WORRIED there was gonna be a love triangle but luckily robin isn't that dumb! ok he kinda is but he has a reason ok...robin defender till the day i die tbh...anyways so like the other "love" interest DIED after he tried to kiss robin but robin was super against it so he fought back and eventually a whole war sort of started??? erix eventually killed him tho LOL. ok now lets talk about robin and erix. I. LOVE. THESE. TWO. legit no words can describe how much them talking to eachother makes me giggle and sway my body :p ERIX CALLS ROBIN "LITTLE BIRD" TOO THATS SO CUTE? im so glad it wasn't some corny shit like "babe" cuz i would've dropped the book SO FAST. little bird oh my god...anyways theres like 2 smuts scenes in this book and honestly that is a perfect amount considering this book is about fey and magic i dont want it all to be about smut yk i want ACTION i want people FIGHTING!!! i love erix and robin with my whole heart the way erix never hesitates to protect robin and how happy he saw robin was okay after he went to have a talk with that other love interest THESE TWO ARE SO CUTEUTUETUETE. i am so mad that theres no like drawings of them??? or anyone appreciating them???? where are my erix and robin lovers man. also plz give althea a gf my girl was devastated after finding out from robin about how fake her gf was.....

overall? 7.5/10 mostly cus of the beginning of the story im so sorry but it really was boring to go through...the rest of the story? IMMACULATE. i love it! definitely give this one a try. I've heard that ben's other books are even better so pls do try at least one book because these are HEAVILY DETAILED. its good! loads of sentences you can reuse in ur essays ;) i love robin and erix i love robin and erix pls dont break them up in book 2 i just started chapter 1.
