• He chose to be in M. He probably could’ve debuted in K just because he’s so talented, but he chose to promote in an unfamiliar country. Although he visibly struggled with adapting to the language and culture, his ability and confidence never wavered. And he shines. Oh, how he shines in M.
  • He is a power vocal, there is no doubt about it. We’ve all known that since his very first performance. In fact, he became my ultimate bias after his performance with Baekhyun on Immortal Songs 2. His incredible passion for music inspires me to keep singing. I also live for his high notes.
  • He excels singing in Korean for obvious reasons, but he also does wonderfully in Mandarin as well. (see: x & x)
  • Last one about his voice, I promise. Listen to some more solos and join me in my earnest wait for a solo album.
  • His dancing has improved so, so much since debut. How does one go from basically marking to this? He’s clearly practiced incredibly hard after being dubbed ‘chensing machine’. And now he goes hard. Hip thrusts and body rolls galore.
  • The way he takes care of the other members. Remember when Sehun called him the true mom of EXO? If you watch any of the Showtime episodes, or just, y'know, observe him, it’s clear that he truly cares about the other members’ wellbeing. Giving Luhan his jacket at the beach, giving Jongin a towel, handing out tissues, telling the members to make sure to eat breakfast, cuddling Minseok when he was cold, etc. He is the hotpack fairy.
  • His laugh. That ringing, attention-grabbing laugh. It’s addicting to listen to.
  • The way he plays around with and talks to the other members. (Specifically, the beagle line.)
  • His sense of humor and his famous troll-like ways. But as an important side note, even though he does poke fun at the other members a lot, he definitely knows where the line is.
  • The way he gives hugs.
  • His real smile.
  • Has anyone ever said a bad thing about him? The answer is no.
  • His airport fashion.
  • He wears snapbacks so well.
  • The way he wears sweaters. Miracles in December era was heaven.
  • His winter fashion.
  • His teddy bears.
  • This pre-debut video of him singing loudly in class.
  • Speaking of, he was pretty attractive pre-debut.
  • The fact that he’s only had one bad haircut. Sigh.
  • His cute English.
  • His adorable butt.
  • The way his eyes sparkle.
  • His aegyo is so fucking embarrassing... I love it.
  • “The ground hardens after the rain.”
  • His utter humility.
  • The way he treats and interacts with his fans.
  • His neck veins.
  • His pouting face.
  • When he wears glasses.
  • Lip curls.
  • His arms.
  • His cheekbones.
  • His tongue.
  • His collarbone.
  • His jawline.
  • His speaking voice.
  • The fact that fansites complain about him because he moves around too goddamn much onstage, making it exceedingly difficult to take good photos.
  • The way his eyes crinkle when he smiles.
  • The way he looks in suits.
  • The way he takes no one’s shit.
  • The way his hair looks pushed back.
  • Last but not least, his sweat. Because, you see, sweaty Jongdae isn’t just me being thirsty. Even though a big part of it is my thirst. To me, sweaty Jongdae is a clear illustration of his hard work and dedication to his job. Sweat, blood, and tears. That’s what Jongdae has shed to get this far. And I love and admire him so, so much for it.
