★☆☆☆☆ (1/5) - a 'bad' novel, ie something that isn't my cup of tea, i probably stopped reading halfway because it was either badly written [character/plot/settings wise] or i found it cringey/boring.

★★☆☆☆ (2/5) - a ??? novel i forced myself to finish reading but thought was a waste of time, found some small things i liked [(character(s) or certain scenes/message) but didn't really enjoy it.

★★★☆☆ (3/5) - an okay book, either had many small issues or one major issue that prevented me from enjoying it to the fullest though.

★★★★☆ (4/5) - a great book, characters and plot were lovely and is something i thoroughly enjoyed reading

★★★★★ (5/5) - an amazing book, one i enjoyed the entire time and would 100% recommend to people and i most likely fell in love with a character or two

regardless of how i rate the novels i read, they're all based on my own opinions and mindset to don't let my ratings stop you from reading a book !! i'm really self indulgent n i honestly don't care at this point so just read what you think is interesting <3
