Chenle wasn’t exactly averse to the idea that a really cute boy was flirting with him, so when he had brought it up to Jaemin, the latter had scowled before saying, “I’d rather square dance with a possum before flirting with you.”
“Oh, I’m so sorry,” Renjun says. “I should've introduced you sooner. Jaemin, have you met my boyfriend?”
This is normally when most guys apologize and back off, but Jaemin just gives Chenle an obviously appraising once-over that leaves Chenle feeling equal parts flattered and objectified. “Oh,” he says. “Okay.”
“Okay?” Renjun asks, blinking.
“Your boyfriend is cute too,” Jaemin says, smiling at Chenle. “Are you guys looking for a third?”
Jaemin isn't the first guy to be interested in dating Renjun. He's just the first guy to be interested in joining the relationship. Their fake relationship.
“I hate your boyfriend.” “So now he’s my boyfriend?” Renjun makes a disgusted sound, something halfway between a gag and a scoff. “He’s certainly not mine.”
Jeno thinks his life would be much easier if his boyfriend and best friend just kissed each other.
@01ZHONG: bruh I keep forgetting RAs are actual students. Saw mine passed out in a bush last night.
@onyourm__ark: to my resident who saw me passed out in a bush last night, no you didn’t <3 - your RA.
Or: Five times Chenle saves his RA from compromising situations and one time Mark returns the favour.
It goes without saying that they have to set a few baseline rules.
No outright asking if Jeno is a dog or a human, or anything of the sort. (For fairness.) No more than one question per person per day. (To avoid suspicion.) No speaking about the bet when Renjun’s around, and no texting about it, either. (For plausible deniability.) No invading Renjun’s privacy—any information should be voluntarily and knowingly given. (Jaemin vehemently tries to protest this one, and is overruled.) Or: The residents at the Neo Tech Medical Center play a game of dog or husband. It goes about as well as one would expect.
Mark and Jeno are the perfect couple, and Renjun's trying to convince himself that he's happy watching from the sidelines.
The touch is already a lot for Renjun to handle, as most things with Mark and Jeno are, and yet he pushes on. This brings about a valuable lesson he’s learned throughout the course of his training—it’s drive that’s powered him through law school, that’s kept him on his toes no matter what impossible fitness program was thrown at him these past few weeks, and it’s still that very same drive that will get him fucked six ways to Sunday. There’s no turning back now. He’ll make sure of it.
(Or: Renjun is in need of some strength and conditioning. Mark and Jeno are more than happy to assist.)
renjun can't sleep.
he's sick, he's tired, and he has no idea why he can't stop crying
“i see slight...financial problems in your future.” renjun peeks at mark to gauge his reaction. “thanks. i'm a college student.” “yeah that'll do it.” in which donghyuck is a skilled fourth generation psychic, mark is donghyuck's supportive rune casting boyfriend, and renjun is the carnival's overworked (fake) fortune teller who really didn't sign up for a bunch of bumbling idiots trying to flirt with him.
Mark feels kinda bad for this guy, honestly. Of all the places to rob, he chose Spider-Man’s apartment.
“Oh, hey man,” he says, and the guy on the floor scrambles to his feet with a short scream. “Looks like we’re trying to rob the same place. My bad, I’ll come back later.”
“Ha ha, funny guy,” the other man says, and Mark’s blood runs cold as he turns around. “I’m actually looking for my boyfriend. You seen him? Short little thing, pretty, owns a mean can of pepper spray?”
or,
Deadpool breaks into Mark's apartment. But he's not looking for Spider-Man - he's looking for Renjun.
moira- (n.) a persons fate or destiny.
In which Renjun, an anxiety-ridden insomniac, takes a well deserved vacation on a quaint lake house. Insert Donghyuck, a mystery of a person that Renjun has a hunch to solve, and Jaemin, a stand-offish asshole that needs to compete for attention. He thought the lake would offer him peace and quiet, a place to sort out his jumbled brain, but instead only brought him more stress and trauma than he ever would have bargained for.
This isn't how it was supposed to happen.
