was sicheng expecting to find an adorably curious alien from the moon with a horrifyingly cute voice inside the pod that crashed in his backyard? not really, no. but surprisingly enough, this alien’s really clingy and sicheng has no clue on what to do.
sicheng was meant to just pick up a few seashells but ended up picking up a pretty mermaid along the way
don’t fall for beautiful smiles, sicheng thinks. he wonders if he can make an exception. because love is easy when it comes to yuta nakamoto, who loves the world without expecting anything in return, who would rather love and lose for all eternity rather than never love at all. it’s so simple, it’s everything sicheng has wanted, and it scares him to think that it was so easy after all.
heartbroken sicheng and heartbreaker yuta could not be anymore different. their reality TV director decides to capitalize on their clashes by making them act as ex-lovers. they act, and somewhere along the line the act becomes real.
“you have something to say, winwin?” the snappy yuta had been replaced with the teasing one as a smile played on his lips.
winwin straightened up, hands neatly clasped behind him. “you should… slow down.”
“funny, i’ve been thinking the opposite.”
it’s harder than he thought to be around yuta. sicheng wonders if it’s possible to want someone so much that it hurts to look at them.
because that’s certainly what it feels like.
yuta quits his job in a blaze of glory on tuesday morning.
by wednesday he's on the road with sicheng, who yuta hardly remembers from high-school and seems to have his own problems, and they're driving towards the coast in his beat-up old car on an impromptu road trip.
the love triangle thing was always a running joke, sicheng being the star of their band’s very own harem anime just to play with him.
but then there was yuta.
yuta keeps buying random indoor plants in a local plant shop as an excuse to see more of the hot chinese cashier guy and johnny is kinda sick of it.
nakamoto yuta is in love and there's not a damn thing that he can do about it but let it all rush over him and shake him to his very core.
one day yuta meets a beautiful deer in his garden, he doesn't expect said deer would mean so much to him in the end.
rekindle (riːˈkɪnd(ə)l) verb •relight (a fire).
•revive (something lost or lapsed).
or alternatively, Yuta’s love for art gets reignited one autumn night.
yuta wants to apologise. sicheng just wants to survive one school year without winding up in the campus clinic.
yuta is afraid of thunderstorms. that's it, that's the summary.
he’s holding a water bottle in his hands, body slightly tilted back against the kitchen counter and a small smile on his face.
smile number thirty, yuta can't help but think.
or
yuta has a list of sicheng’s different smiles and just wishes one was meant for him.
yuta had permanent darkness lingering in his mind.
sicheng was scared of basically everything, including his own voice.
yuta seemed like the strongest, most positive person to sicheng, the one never hesitating to try and cheer him up, despite often holding sadness in his own eyes. sicheng seemed like the most creative, most precious person to yuta, who captured what words couldn't say in his pictures, would have the most beautiful smiles for him despite being scared to even come close.
yuta learns that less is more, and sicheng learns that hugs aren't scary.
yuta would follow sicheng to the end of the earth if he could, but his life is here. even if his life now has a missing hole in it.
sicheng wonders who the fuck would be knocking at his door at two in the morning, but he finds that no matter who he pictures, he still kinda wants to hit them over the head with a frying pan.
sicheng has escaped the military compound where he's been held for two years. separated from his brother in a storm, he sets out to find him again. yuta lives alone in the penthouse suite of an abandoned hotel, pretending not to be lonely, and from the roof he watches a figure approaching the city centre. (or, yuta & sicheng meet during the nuclear winter at the end of the world.)
in which yuta is spiderman and sicheng is a civilian who wants to thank spiderman for his hard work.
A Yuta-centric au in which Yuta is Taeyong's best man and the designated wedding planner for Taeyong and Jaehyun's wedding. Yuta is obsessed with love and romance (and his very nice color coded binder with the matching dividers and expensive colored pens) and he used to be obsessed with Sicheng, Jaehyun’s best man who, despite being dragged along to help, really doesn't care about planning a wedding. Which is infuriating to Yuta, even more so given Sicheng's enigmatic personality and their tangled history.
10, 9, 8... the clock is ticking and time is running out. Don't take your eyes off the clock. Yuta is in the wrong place at the wrong time. Sicheng knows more than he let's on.
Dong Sicheng doesn't believe in soulmates - or anything magical, in general. He likes science and numbers better, where everything had an explanation, where he won't be left wondering and plagued with silly thoughts and unanswered questions to keep him awake at night. But something about Nakamoto Yuta shakes his faith.
or,
Dong Sicheng realizes his feelings a little too late. Five years too late, to be exact.
