- the way she'd say "good gravy!"
- how she could peel an apple--she usually got the skin off in one piece or pretty close
- her telling me not to run in the house
- going over to her house the day I got my cast--she was picking berries and she had juice all over her apron and hands
- the talk she had with me the first time she found out I had a boyfriend
- the fact that the thing she made sure to tell me before I left was that she loved me
- the way she used to stand in the door and wave when we drove away
- sitting at the piano with her while she played cutesy little songs...I remember one that said something about smoking daddy's pipe
- looking through photo albums with her
- her adorable giggle
- when she gave me the doll she made in my image
- the way she did her hair
- she used to give me werther's original hard candy (she loved butterscotch)
- how she made fun of grandpa
- how even when she was the most miserable anybody could possibly be and alive she still laughed and joked
- the stories she'd tell me, usually paralleling something I was dealing with
- her holding me up to the mirror and asking me if I knew who I was looking at, and what color my eyes were
- hanging out in her sewing room
- helping her pick out patterns for the cross-stitch of the whole family
- how she always had a camera and was constantly taking pictures
- the time she made applesauce
- helping her and grandpa break freshly-picked green beans
- watching her do the crossword every morning
- the mother/daughter breakfasts every year
- her sitting outside, watching me play
- the fact that she's always been one of my favorite people in the world
- how when she'd give me a bath when I was younger, she'd clean between my toes to get the "toe jam" out
