remember:

  • long jump = 19 feet normally, 57 feet with boots. standing jump = 7 feet normally, 21 feet with boots.
  • Flameskull was put in the easy bake oven (aka forge, smelting room) - ancient creature set to guard the area
    • rejuvenates in one hour, holy water or dispel magic
  • Kratlyn and Emma do a ceremony to create holy water, and ruin the Flameskull.

  • Ruined building, scorched ans scarred. looks like a mage battle, long ago.
    • iron door, hinges warped and bent. would be loud to open
    • booming noise every couple'a, like waves, sounds like echos.
  • bella blasts open the door
  • small green fire on pedestal in the middle of the room
  • Spectator, behind the pedestal with the green fire. Does not give their name, does not remember it.
    • Bella says we're from a magazine, Wynne magics up fake lease/paperwork to show we're allowed here (from 'wizards')
    • "Eyesabella"
  • Bella finds a mace and breastplate - but Spectator says they're for "special customers"
  • We go out and talk about what to do, Bella charms (fails). Wynne tries the forge, and Barb reckless attacks the Spectator.
  • no reactions, no movement, melee or ranged attack against random creature
    • Bites Barb for 1 damage, she fails a wisdom save. she has to ^^ do above. RNG chooses Emma, and DM lets me choose the weapon... i do a ranged attack with my net, at disadvantage. "i know i'm a catch, but what the hell, Barb?"
    • Kratlyn gets the last hit (a crit)
  • flame goes from red to almost black, as Wynne does the forge thing. sword in the flame.
  • a voice, "Freedom. At last. you ahve done well, wizard." "thank you, lord tresendar." "i hear my lord calling me, i can finally sense Helm's touch again." "remember our bargian." "i will not forget. i will go to visit your mother, and her sickness - she will be freed of it, as you have freed me. good luck, in your future endeaveors. i sense more danger yet in this cave. my sword will remain with you." "thank you."
  • Wynne changes somehow, Barb isn't sure what's going on
  • Some sort of ghost shows up, bound to this cave, hates with Spider and his ilk.
  • if we clear the cave, he has something for us.
  • a cylinder, crystalline, a drop of blood??? left in his care, 100s of years ago.
    • Eight Man Empire, has smth to do with Bella's gun
    • Mencoth, one of the Eight Men, blood mage, no wound could kill him. healed from everything.
  • If you can consume the blood, you can bond with it. Once bonded, you gain several benefits.
    • Proficiency in Constitution saving throws. Expertise if you already have proficiency.
    • The Life Mantle - for the next minute, you are surrounded by a whirlpool of blood energy. At the start of each of your turns, you regain 1d6 hp. You cannot use this ability again until you have taken a long rest.
    • The Weeping Warrior - your connection to blood allows you to affect others. When you damage a creature that has blood, you deal an additional 1d4 necrotic damage.
  • above, north, a cavern with water. one arm of an underground sea??
    • water 15ft down, after a couple minutes, a surge of water - to just below the ledge.
    • stream bed, dried out. we all squeeze thru
  • bugbear mining, drow. emma is a fucking beacon, and we're noticed immediately.
