SESSION:

  • fucking wild rolls for Barb, most of the night
  • inspired by Bella
  • Emma keeps getting between me and bugbears, so i just stab them over her shoulder
  • jumped away from emma, up a ledge. she sent her spiritual shield to protect me.
  • Wynne helped with a couple bugbears, and finished two of them.
  • Barb got the final HDYWDT after the last bugbear disengaged while surrounded by most of us.
  • level one of EXHAUSTION
  • found a Potion of Vitality (cherry juice)
  • nine ft tall stone dwarf, emerald for eyes, hammer across lap.
  • campsite of sorts in front of this statue, bedrolls and stuff.
  • dark elf, drow, clutching black staff with a spider at the top.
    • "youve done well to clear this cavern for me"
  • will hire us to take care of enemies "people who stand in my way"
    • with the forge is his command, anything is possible
  • whatd you want the forge for
    • it's a source of power - to have control of it is to control the region (if you're smart enough to use it correctly)
  • four large spiders + Nezznar

Barb is within 30ft of Bella, 1d4 "add the number rolled to an attack roll, an ability check, or a saving throw it makes." Once per turn.

When Barb makes an attack roll or a saving throw, the target can roll a d4 and add the number rolled to the attack roll or saving throw.

  • We meet Nezznar, who talks of hiring us. Emma tries to convert him. Kratlyn doesn't even entertain lying about partners and shit.
  • Shoots webs at us, only Bella and Barb don't get restrained.
    • Bella can't get unstuck, Barb helps her.
    • Wynne uses faerie fire, against Nezz and two spiders - one spider and Nezz fail!!
  • Barb FRENZIED RAGES (with lvl 1 exhaustion - disadvantage on ability checks)
  • Wynne is still stuck in webs, towards the back (so no attacks against him! but is super stuck, rolled a nat 1 - action surge, rolled a nat 3) I tried to ask abt if he could get adv on the saving throw when first stuck bc he's also a drow and probably kind of spider-y but was, unfortunately, shot down lmao. but i tried!!
  • Nezz does magic missile at 2nd level, at Bella. 10dmg, Wynne reduces the dmg by 7!!
  • We think it's canon that Barb has only jumped while in combat...
  • Wynne finally freed himself! and shot at the spider blocking Nezz, but missed unfortunately.
  • Nezz does magic missile (2nd lvl) at Barb and Emma tries to steal all the dmg but 1 - but Wynne has the shield thing
  • strange chittering from Nezz, the remaining spider rushes to him (as if to flee...) it comes within Barb's range and she stabs it with her reaction, and it skids to a halt in front of Nezz
  • Kratlyn casts Silence with the scroll
  • Bella does dissonant whispers, it auto succeeds, but still takes half damage!
  • Barb attacks Nezz and kills him, then just keeps attacking. She's freaking out because of the silence.
    • Kratlyn drops the silence, everyone asks if Barb is okay. No, it's scary, couldn't hear, etc. Panic.
    • Emma asked for help getting out of the webs (she hadn't moved or tried to get out the ENTIRE time) - Barb beelines to her, ignoring everyone else. Gets her out easily.
  • Bella finds a key, and it's for the room in the hall shortly outside the arena where Nezz and the spiders are.
    • Nundro is there, bound but conscious.
  • Barb pulls the spider corpses out of the way, there are bedrolls in the chamber.
  • gundren and his brothers are saved (well, 2 out of 3 aint bad)
