I'm posting this here because I just need to say it and I don't want to put it on tumblr because I know no one would care.
The ending made sense ...sort of. But if you think about it more a lot of things were a little vague, which is fine, but it also makes it sort of confusing. So here's what I say:
- it makes sense that people would be more ~accepting~ because they remember what happened under the influence of the pansy, but only like a dream
- I don't think the whole town really consciously remembers being in love with each other/getting married
- but at the end Jonathan goes up to Timothy and kisses him and is all "I feel like myself"
- but wtf WHAT EVEN
- you can tell throughout the beginning that Jonathan does have feelings for Timothy, but is too ~afraid~ to admit it, and the pansy was just the catalyst to get them together
- but the way it ended means one of two things:
- he, and therefore probably everyone, actually knows what happened with the pansy, or
- he just knows that SOMETHING happened, but he knows he still does love Timothy, and now Timothy has this weird secret to be keeping forever in their relationship
So here is what should have happened:
- everyone is still accepting and stuff
- but no one actually knows what happened with the pansy
- idk, maybe some of the other guys actually realize that they are in the closet or something
- I mean, the movie insinuated that a lot of them like, had sex. Under the influence of the pansy, but still. Jesus!
- now that everyone is all accepting, Jonathan can tell Timothy ~how he really feels~ but not remember that they were together before
aljflkasdjflajl this is why I didn't want to post this on tumblr. I just needed to write this somewhere. Wuteva~
