starting by the last thing i watched on there because i didn't think to do this earlier 😭

• Tatsuki Fujimoto 17-26 - i truly believe that fujimoto is a clinically insane person who was just let out of confinement one day and given a pen and pencil to write fiction based on all the batshit crazy things that he went through in life and i think that's wonderful. he writes master classes in narrative building that leave you either crying or too uncomfortable to look away. my top 3 shorts in order were:
  • Shikaku
  • Love is Blind
  • Woke-Up-as-a-Girl Syndrome
• Haunted Hotel - really enjoyed it, very entertaining show to binge watch in a day (of course me being me couldn't even do that). somehow it reminds me of deadendia, probably because of the subject matter (demons, the supertnatural, impending apocalypse) the humor and the animation style, which was crazy smooth and beautiful a lot of the time?? the episodes felt like they could've been longer but i think that's more of a pacing issue, a lot of things were happening at a time. the cast was great and fun, but the inclusion of abbadon truly sealed the deal for me! without him, each cast member would still shine by themselves, but it would leave a void that only he could fill. i was a little afraid of his character since i had seen people on twitter comparing him to jax tadc but after finishing haunted hotel that just proved to me that people on twitter don't know shit about anything because they're not remotely the same character at all, beginning with the fact that jax purposefully puts on a mask to avoid making meaninful relationships, while abbadon is just genuinely oblivious but unafraid to make connections, even if he struggles with them. very enjoyable show overall!
