The rules I'd like to follow for my gratitude journal.
- write daily
- list at least 3 things
- write in complete sentences
- feel free to dedicate a paragraph or even a page about the things you are grateful for
- avoid generalizations, be specific
- explain why you are grateful
- don't journal just for journaling sake, be conscious of what you are writing and allow yourself to feel thankful/gratitude
- avoid repeating the same things you appreciate in consecutive days, there are plenty of things to be thankful for if you allow yourself to reflect on it
