Some clichés I've noticed in movies.

Horror:

• Naked girls
• Lots of screaming
• Jumpy scenes due to sound effects
• Closing eyes while the bad guy is right behind them
• Looking in the mirror, opening so we don't see the mirror, and closing the mirror where the bad guy is right behind them
• The group will separate and die one by one
• Characters have time to stop, cry and comfort each other, and most likely have sex with the serial killer still on the loose

Action:

• Explosions occur quite often
• People who are dying saying something beautiful
• Unlimited ammo
• Everyone knows how to hijack cars without it beeping
• When people are on the run, they look back a lot
• The guy with a common object (a pipe or vase) will defeat the bad guy with the gun
• You can open lock by shooting at it
• Spies and secret agents hide their identity by living luxuriously, not blending in
• Saying: "Is that the best you can do?" and "I've got a bad feeling about this."
• A sexy woman who can handle firearm will be able to shoot with accuracy while her opponent constantly misses, despite her running in high heels

Psychological Thriller:

• The whole thing was a dream
• They were imagining the whole thing
• The bad guy was actually themselves
• Lots of hallucinations that seem realistic

Romance:

• The man is a bad boy and the woman is innocent
• The heroine is "average" looking but ends up having an amazing personality and intelligence that the man cannot resist
• When the couple makes up after a fight or break up, they will kiss in a crowd (passionately, usually with the girl's hands grabbing man's face) and the camera will circle them, zoom out, and show the near-future where the couple are happily together
• An ex-wife never chases her ex-husband, but the ex-husband will flirt his way back to his ex-wife's heart
• Men really care about everything and listen to everything the woman has to say and disregard their own feelings/thoughts
• If two people hate each other at first, they will end up being in love
• The ugly girl turns into a swan, even though her "ugly" is actually kinda pretty

Comedy:

• If there is a duo, one is very charming/popular and the other is a black sheep
• Excessive cursing
• Minor injuries
• Usually has a party going on (drugs and drinks included)
