pleasant memories of having a car//riding in a car

• staring at the speedometer light reflection in the window late at night while driving with my mother
• driving through a storm and finding heaven at the end (also with my mother)
• listening to my favorite songs and sobbing and driving to places that I didn't understand or knew existed
• smoking upon smoking upon smoking upon smoking with people I hold dear
• cleaning up ashes at the car wash
• listening to cassette tapes (loud & proud)
• sitting on the roof whilst waiting for friends to get in
• driving with my left foot on the dashboard
• trash, all of the trash on the ground (was glorious how out of control everything was.
• the smell of mold, coffee, cigarettes, perfume, dead flowers, old books, plastic, but mostly home
• being drivin around for ever and taken to a place at four am and feeling like there are no bounds to my nature
• the anxiety of driving on "e"
• mysterious tire flats
• sunshine drives with the windows down and the best music with the ladies
• waiting in the car while it snows sweet flakes everywhere
• shoveling the car out the of pillowey snow
• hiding in your car
• SMOKING IN YOUR CAR ALONE
• driving around with the heater on and the windows down (hell yeah)
• listening to the same song on repeat for 45+ minute drives
• manual window (Up & downers?)
• leaving extra clothes in the car for emergencies
• finding other people's trash (aka beer cans?)
• SPIDERS WHILE DRIVING what adrenaline
• smooth rides (aka no weird driving goin' on)
• night time modest mouse drives from shows <3
• chinese fire drill
• honking for no reason except for the fact that I damn well please and when I damn well please I damn well do (haha, at least in the essence of honking)
• finding notes from friends on windshield!
• leaving notes on friend's windshields!
• being able to go long distances in such a short time
• being able to never find parking once you get there! (it's okay, some walking is good for you)
• yelling to the wind while there is no one around because you are in the middle of nowhere and no one is going to ask you what's wrong
• learning about mechanical things
• following people (only for a little while)
• going through drive thrus (miss u bby)
• being a speed demon (ha not rly)
• being a grandma 4evr
• "are you okay ma'am" the police officer asks, "i noticed you were going almost over half under the speed limit" he inquired
